Curtain Wall Maintenance at Talbot Road Carpark, Blackpool

Dortech was contacted by Tolent Construction following a failure of a large curtain walling company and the defective work they had carried out at Talbot Road Carpark in Blackpool.

On inspection, the existing curtain walling installation was found to have a number of recurring faults emanating from the way it had been installed.

Pressure plates had been installed incorrectly and the systems had not been sealed in accordance with the manufacturer guidelines.

To correct this work, all glass had to be removed and the system properly drained, sealed and rebuilt.
