Dortech Maintenance have completed yet another, successful glazing maintenance project involving the reconfiguration of the window and curtain walling installed at the Creative Arts Media Building, Huddersfield University.
The client contacted the team with the objective of increasing the amount of natural ventilation in the building.
Dortech expert team of site engineers were able to ascertain the type of opening vent that was required, which comprised of structurally bonded/frameless opening vents with multipoint locking mechanisms, mechanically fixed opening restrictors and high performance solar control glass.
The new windows were the procured and manufactured by Dortech and installed seamlessly.
The client was delighted with the results and the manner in which the work was carried out by the team as can be seen below:
Andy Bamforth (Huddersfield Uni): “Please will you pass on our thanks to the maintenance fitters? The fitters arrived on site punctually on both days and carried out first class work. They were smartly attired and courteous at all times which was reflected in the work they carried out.
One of the rooms they were working is home to a very expensive and dust sensitive piece of musical equipment. The fitters were made aware of this and they took particular attention in maintaining the work area clean and tidy at all times (which was a constant theme to their working practice).
We look forward, when the need arises, to work with you in the future.”
