Having recently been contacted by Oakfield School in Middleborough, Dortech Maintenance team have successfully completed a door refurbishment project. Dortech was enlisted to carry out this project our of hours and within a short time frame. The work involved the replacement of five double doors with Panic exit devices that had failed and replacement with Dortechs new Dor-Strong door.
The replaced doors were located in areas that were subject to unregulated, surge pedestrian traffic and were not sufficiently robust enough to cater of the huge amount of usage they sustained.
Dortech worked with Dorma, using their 9000 series panic devices couple to Dortechs Dor-Strong door to create a long term and viable alternative.
Dortechs Dor-Strong door is constructed using aluminium commercial door sections with a number of special enhancements including welded corners, additional tie rods, steel reinforced door thresholds and extra robust bottom pivots.
Alan Gardner, the Building manager for Willmott Dixon commenting on the completion of the installation said, “that he was very pleased with these obviously robust doors, and the excellent service provided by the Dortech team. They are a distinct improvement on the doors that they have replaced’’.
